She reblogs the graphic and continues scrolling through her Tumblr dashboard, smiling coyly. A few minutes pass, and her thoughts are now elsewhere, on cats, and photos of cupcakes, and stills from Gotye music videos, and reviews of her favourite films, and discussions of feminism. It’s a perfect night. Her calico stretches out against her shins and purrs. She reaches for her glass of wine and sips it, savouring the taste.
After about an hour or so, she gets up, deciding it is time to go to sleep. She has work in the morning after all, and things with her supervisor have been pretty tense these past few weeks. She’d rather not exacerbate that tension by oversleeping and showing up late. She carries her laptop up to the bathroom, brushes her teeth, washes her face, and walks across the hall to her bedroom.
She flicks on the light and notices an odd, quivering lump underneath her duvet cover. She looks behind her… the cat’s still downstairs. Then what… what is that?
She edges her way gingerly to the side of the bed, hesitates, and then yanks the cover off and OH GOD IT’S SOMEONE’S BUTT IT’S A BUTT IT’S JUST A BUTT BY ITSELF OH MY GOD THAT’S WHAT THE FUCK WHOSE BUTT IS THIS WHO DID THIS I DON’T UNDERSTAND THAT’S LITERALLY JUST A BUTT HOW DID THIS HAPPEN HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE OH MY GOD I’M GOING TO THROW UP I’M GOING TO THROW UP IT’S JUST A BUTT BY ITSELF OH NO THIS IS HORRIBLE
